Our Gallery of Charity and Fundraising Events
The Simon Community was voted our Charity of the Year for the 2008/09 year. We raised a total of €10,000 for this worthy cause and we have some wonderful shots which remind us of the hard work and dedication which we have put in to giving back to our community.

Our Volunteer Programmes
Employee Volunteer Programme
Employees are granted one days paid leave annually to participate in voluntary activities for a charity of their choice. Some of the local organisations we have helped through volunteering are The Simon Community, Cheshire Homes, The Irish Wildlife Trust, and The Sacred Heart Community and Childcare Project.
Charity of the Year Programme
Employees selects one main local charity annually to support through fundraising. In 2005 we Supported St. Martins Special Needs School by donating €20,000 for the purchase of a school bus and in 2006 €10,000 was raised for our own employee Linda Maher who sufferers from Friedrich’s Ataxia. In 2007 we supported Waterford Childline and in 2008, The Simon Community. We are pleased to announce Waterford Social and Sport Action as our 2009/10 Charity of the Year.
Employee Sports & Community Group Funding Programme
An Internal Charity Committee invites employees to submit funding applications quarterly Since 2005, we have helped over 60 local charities and not for profit groups through the Sports and Community Group Funding Programme.
Sponsorship Programme
Each year we look for sponsorship opportunities within the local community. In 2007, 2008 and 2009 we sponsored Spraoi, Waterfords street art and world music festival. Recognising that Sproai is an integral part of Waterford’s culture which greatly enriches the lives of everyone in Waterford and the South East, sponsoring Spraoi was a natural way for us to give back to, and connect with, the people of Waterford and the South East.
