Kerry Power, Health & Safety Officer
Kerry

Length of Service: 4 Years

Highlight: I am proud to work for a company that gives so much back to the community.

How I Got Here:
In 2005 I was offered a 4-week contract with TalkTalk, 4 years later I'm still here and loving every minute of it! I have been lucky enough to work in different areas including, Recruitment, HR Admin and Reporting and now Health & Safety.

Why TalkTalk:
No two days are the same for me - every day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn - being bored is never an option! My new role meant I had the opportunity to become a student once again....albeit on a part-time basis. Having completed a number of courses in Health & Safety, I am currently in the middle of a UCD Safety, Health & Welfare course, which TalkTalk is sponsoring.

Last year I was given the opportunity of helping the local community through the Employee Volunteer Scheme. Not only did I achieve a personal sense of pride but I can also say I am proud to work for a company that gives so much back to the community.

The Last Word:
If I had three words to describe my experience, they would be - Challenging, Rewarding and Fun!! Roll on the next four years...

Roisin O'Keefe

Length of Service: 3 Years

Highlight: TalkTalk has an event for every occasion.

How I Got Here:
When I finished school in the summer of 2005, I took the opportunity to join TalkTalk as an Agent in the Sales Department. My role involved dealing with sales enquiries from customers and registering new accounts.

Recently, I completed training to become a multi-skill Agent so that I can work in our Retention Department as well as Inbound Sales. I'm delighted to be given the opportunity to learn new skills and grow my experience in the company.

I am also a member of the Sales Department Morale Committee; we meet regularly to come up with ideas and ways for people to enjoy themselves whilst at work.

Why TalkTalk
TalkTalk has an event for every occasion, which I love as there's always something on - it's a great excuse to dress up to the nines or put on a fancy dress costume. My favourite event is the Christmas Party...it's fabulous every year.

The Last Word:
Recently I celebrated my 3rd year with the company and was treated to lunch and presented with a gift....it was really nice to meet up with people from other departments, chat about how they were getting on and share a few stories about our first days with the company.

Length of Service: 2 Years

Highlight: I've made a lot of new friends.

How I Got Here:
When I joined TalkTalk in May 2007, I worked as an Agent in the Customer Service & Billing Department providing phone support to customers who had queries on their bills or products.
I have since moved to work with the Retail Team. I currently work as a Subject Matter Expert, providing support to other Agents, answering their queries and carrying out admin duties for the team.

Why TalkTalk:
I enjoy the friendliness of everyone working here and I've made a lot of new friends. The social scene is great! I loved the 10th Anniversary Summer Party; it was probably the best social event that I've attended so far.

Everyday I have the opportunity to learn something new about the day-to-day running of a contact centre. There is a wide range and diversity of jobs and business areas that operate out of the Waterford site and it's great to get involved in different projects.

The Last Word:
In three words I would describe TalkTalk as fun, exciting and diverse

Highlight: A great place to progress your career.

How I Got Here:
I joined TalkTalk as a 1st level Customer Service and Billing Agent. Just two years on I'm working as a 2nd level Customer Service and Billing Agent taking escalation calls from 1st level Agents and dealing with AOL Talk Faults.

Why TalkTalk:
There is a friendly environment and you always have help from other people if you need it. The one thing that always surprises me is that people you may not even know in other departments are always willing to help.

The Company are always looking for ways to keep morale and motivation high. I was only working here about 6 months when I won a Nintendo Wii for my Stats and Sales, which really boosted my confidence.
