Back to School for AOL Broadband as the Celebrate Graduate Success Back to Media Releases

October 6th 2009: AOL Broadband celebrated with their Team Leaders as over 50 managers graduated with Certificates in Management (FETAC Level 6) through the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Under the programme, people managers have the opportunity to broaden and expand their business skills in parallel with their day-to-day roles. AOL Broadband fully supported and funded over 50 of their managers to complete this be-spoke management development programme. 

Welcoming the initiative as a positive step for AOL Broadband, Heather Roche, Contact Centre Director, UK & Ireland said: “Programmes like these are crucial for managers to up skill and continue to stay abreast of new business techniques, the programme clearly demonstrates our commitment to lifelong learning.  I would like to commend all our team on their commitment to and success with the programme.”

Speaking at the launch Lindsay O’Brien, Senior Team Leader at AOL Broadband commented “''The Certificate in Management gave me the opportunity to improve my ability to manage people effectively, the course suited my needs and really showed me the different aspects to people management.  I would recommend anyone beginning a career in people management to consider participating in this Management Programme.”
